Emily is an artist who needed a place to showcase her art. She needed a design which complemented her style, but did not detract from the art itself. She also needed to be able to upload art into different categories quickly and easily. In addition, she wanted a showcase on the homepage highlighting specific pieces which she could easily select.
We worked with Emily to design something based on some of her art. A perpendicular line design was used throughout many parts of the site's design to unify the theme. Using muted colors allowed the art and the artist's name stand out. We included a rotating showcase of selected art on her homepage, which allows her favorite art to be displayed prominently.
We customized her CMS system to her exact needs. She is able to upload, edit, and remove images very easily. Selecting categories for her images will automatically insert images into her specific portfolio categories. In addition she is able to select what images she wants to be included in the showcase on the homepage.
