The Project:
To develop a website for students to buy and sell textbooks locally with other students. The site had to be easy to view books in local areas, and easy to list books for purchase.
The Solution:
InTownBooks.com was built from the ground-up to gain complete control over features. Some feature highlights are as follows:
- Easy search for and list books for sale from a title, author, or ISBN.
- Complete information import - simply provide an ISBN (or search by title) and all needed information about the book will be imported.
- Easily list books in your area and/or globally.
- Users can choose delivery method (shipping and/or in-person).
- Accept payments and hold for sellers until transaction is completed.
- Student Rep program enabling users to gain profit from system.
